Toy Story 3 Takes Disney Back to the Top.

The weekend of August 14th may have seemed like a normal everyday weekend to most of us but it was that weekend that Disney/Pixar took back it's number one spot.

Toy Story 3 has become the highest grossing animated picture of all-time. After the record breaking weekend the film had taken in a total of $920 million. That was enough to put it ahead of the previous number one film Shrek 2.

I enjoy the Shrek series but I have to admit to my bias towards Pixar in this respect. I'm always happy when Disney takes a number one spot especially in animation.

This American Life - A Disneyland Story

I wanted to bring this weeks episode of "This American Life" to everyone's attention as it has a lengthy story about Disneyland at it's beginning.

If you aren't familiar "This American Life" Is consistently one of the top downloaded Podcasts on Itunes. It is a production of National Public Radio or NPR. that means you can also hear it aired weekly on the radio. Each episode features various stories that focus on a particular theme for that week. This weeks episode is called "The Promised Land."

The episode begins with several songs from Disney Films and the host singing a song as well. The first story is about a little girl trying to get to Disneyland despite overprotective mother. Give it a listen on Itunes or on their website; it's pretty cute.

It will only be on Itunes for a week so if you read this after the week of 8-9-2010 go to the website.

The Best World Showcase Pavilion

Photo from this site. Disney-Stock on DeviantArt.com
Mexico  is this weeks winner with 4 votes.
This pavilion always reminded me of the Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland for obvious reasons.

Norway had 2 votes
Probably either because of the Maelstrom attraction or the salmon waffles.

The American Adventure, Japan, France, and Canada all had 1 vote.

Does anyone else think that America could have a better restaurant?
